A mission statement is about why the company exists. Having a strong mission statement attracts talents who believe in a similar purpose and hope to create the meaning they would like to have in their careers. Your mission statement should also specify the change your company hopes to impact, such as to spark specific positive emotions (like hope or passion) in your target market segment.


A vision statement vividly paints the picture of where the company wants to be in the future. Individuals with similar growth appetites and ambitions would be attracted to join the company to be part of the journey towards the promise of greater success in time.


Value statements are about how the company wants to move towards their vision. Individuals whose personal values are aligned to the company’s values tend to express interest in the company because they foresee a potentially good fit with the company’s working environment.
